Gamification scores big with surgeons

Increasing brand adoption has never been more fun.

Alcon needed an engaging tool to help surgeons identify the right candidates for implanting their multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs).

Cataract surgeons are very comfortable implanting standard monofocal IOLS, but Alcon wants surgeons to consider using advanced technology IOLs, which requires proper patient identification based on lifestyle preferences.

Using interactive gaming best practices, HCB Health built a gamification app that successfully influenced and engaged surgeons.

The IOL Match Game was used at the ASCRS symposium and attracted many surgeons to the Alcon booth. Survey results showed that this game helped surgeons better understand patient selection in a fun way.
