Our growing interactive department is in need of a contract Content Strategist. Clients run the healthcare spectrum, but mostly include medical device companies and healthcare consumer groups. Experience in healthcare is a plus, but not 100% necessary. You’ll work in a team environment and report to the Interactive Director who features a content/usability background.
The ideal candidate is based in Austin, and can join our team onsite at our office for 20-40 hours of work per week. We hope to turn the position into a full-time Content Strategist role in the near future.
Responsibilities
- Audit and maintain knowledge of content for our interactive creations
- Concept and have a general working knowledge of online marketing tools such as email, banner ads, interactive tradeshow booths, Flash projects and more
- Write content that provides inherent meaning to people and machines (metadata)
- Concept the user experience with the team, which includes two art directors, another content strategist and two PMs
- Work closely with Information Architects to unveil proper navigation scenarios
- Write both creative marketing and educational copy that is relevant to people, efficient to produce and elegant in style
- Display a desire to continually learn more about emerging technologies
- Be able to cite proper grammar and follow style guidelines, like The Elements of Style
- Writing for social networks and campaigns is a nice plus
Required Experience
2-4 years Content Strategy experience and a BA in applicable course study.

- Is trusted and relied on by internal teams and key clients
- International business experience is a plus

Job Description
We have recently won several new device and pharma accounts (which is good) but our writers are overworked (which is bad). To keep them happy, we are searching for a writer to lend us their talent. Clients would include pharma and medical devices, almost exclusively direct to physician marketing. Writing for the web also a plus. You will be reporting to a Senior Copywriter.

Responsibilities
- Concept and write selling materials for healthcare professionals. This can include brochures, objection handling, product guides, web pages and general advertising.
- Clinical/medical research, including published articles, study data and competitive analysis.
- Editing and/or proofing with an eye towards industry restrictions and regulations.
Required Experience
3-6 years writing experience for device or pharma clients in an agency environment. (Please don’t apply if this is not your experience, we really know what we need!)
